With its 75m serpentine-shaped stone walls, Sandstone Ridge, designed by Max Pritchard Gunner Architects, curves through the hillside contours maximising the scenic views and solar orientation. Becoming a grand sight itself, this project required high-skill and attention to detail to ensure every aspect was in correct position creating an exciting construction challenge for builder, Hocking Constructions.

ADX Depot worked closely with Hocking Constructions to ensure reliable supply of quality materials throughout the two-year build.

Making a grand statement in the central living space of the home, the soaring butterfly roof creates a sense of expansive space, opening up from the focal point of the suspended wood heater. To ensure strength is maintained within the ceiling and to do this stand-out design long-term justice, ADX Depot supplied Knauf SpanShield plasterboard for installation. With its sag-resistant properties, SpanShield allows this iconic space to reach full potential and draws residents into the natural-tone space, complimented by its picturesque surroundings.

The soaring butterfly roof continues to be referenced throughout the exterior, with a natural contrast of material finishes. The locally sourced stone is complimented by the modern finish of James Hardie Scyon Matrix panels. The expressed-joint look offers a bold aesthetic, however in the application of Sandstone Ridge, it also again provides a durable solution for exterior cladding. Together, the mixed-material structure creates an impressive entry to the home.
