Educational spaces are important to design to ensure students receive the best possible environment to learn in. LeFevre High School, in Semaphore South Australia, recognised the importance of creating spaces that contribute to students’ quality of education. As a result, LeFevre High worked with Chapman Herbert Architects to design a space which featured a number of innovative products, like Knauf AMF suspended Topiq Rafts, Heradesign panels and acoustic rated ceiling tiles. This case study will highlight how each product was carefully selected by the Architect and sourced and supplied by ADX Depot to achieve the brief. The fit-out was completed by Hansen Yuncken with Commercial Fitouts Australia (CFA).

Home is where the heart is, and for this seaside residence, it’s also where design has pushed the boundaries to create a perfect balance of comfort and style. This dream home was envisioned by owners Hans and Trish and saw Klemm Homes be enlisted to complete the build. Overlooking the beach, there were design elements which were carefully considered throughout the project to achieve the open-plan living areas yet ensure functionality during all seasons. Working closely with ADX Depot, Klemm Homes Project Manager Thomas Taylor ensured luxury, elegance and integrity was reflected with the use of customised cavity slider door systems, EzyJamb door frames, shadow-line skirtings and more.

CEO of Southern Cross Care, Mr Andrew Larpent, describes the development as a combination of “magnificent apartments and facilities. Future residents will enjoy a wonderful lifestyle and remain connected to their community.” With this in mind, Walter Brooke Architects envisioned contemporary retirement apartments in a range of floor plans, a health and wellness centre, functional communal areas for residents and more. The materials used to achieve the contemporary design and maintain functionality were carefully selected to align with the brief. Creating a visual splash on the Main street of Virginia, South Australia, is the V Hotel. The architects of the newly developed hotel have created an impressive modern and refined-industrial feel throughout the different spaces. It has been a long-awaited re-launch for the growing community. The original Wheatsheaf hotel was first built in 1855 and renovated in 1929. The V Hotel has now been re-built to the side of the original. With Virginia quickly becoming a popular suburb in the north, this project was the perfect opportunity for Wake Carpentry and S&J Interiors to work with Buildwise to show their workmanship, bringing to life a new generation of the Virginian pub with the support of and materials supplied by ADX Depot.

The STEM works building project at Blackwood High School was an opportunity to show skill and impressive workmanship within the education sector. Designed as a shared space for year levels 8-12, the building will primarily support the teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The project posed design and build challenges with a complex yet visually engaging design. The refurbishment was completed while the school was in full operation, meaning there were also challenges to coordinate deliveries around the school timetable.
