It’s resistant to moisture damage and features a surface sealer to help reduce moisture penetration and means water beads on the surface rather than penetrates. The moisture-resistant surface sealer removes the need for full floor waterproofing outside enclosed shower areas. Also, unlike plywood or particle board, you can tile directly onto it without the need for underlay, helping to avoid noticeable height differences from one floor finish to the next.
